BTRC is going to Banned Single-Band routers form April 2025

Low price single band routers are going to be banned in Bangladesh from April 2025 by BTRC, news published in daily-sun 24 October 2024. Reporter Demanding that internet speed is limiting by these single band routers as these routers only provide 2.4-2.8 Ghz bands. Now the question is what the bionic/supersonic speed is supplying by ISP and Mobile operators in dual band routers presently? And why its necessary to announce this kind of decisions in print and electronic media making expense of government revenues while if the ISP's are giving high speed internet in higher frequency bands? Won't it automatically obsolete those single band routers in long run and popular those dual band routers among the users? In fact, we think these decision only will restrict the easy and cheap internet availability in our country as single routers are not only cheaper but also in some extent are well enough for home and small enterprises to enjoy wifi internet. This decision recalling us the famous proverb ' A bad worker always quarrels with his tools'.
